Showmaha

Description:

Overview

Showmaha Poker is an exciting poker variant that combines elements of Omaha Poker with the added twist of players having to show one of their hole cards at specific points during the game. This creates an additional layer of strategy and excitement, as players must decide which card to reveal and when.

Objective

The objective of Showmaha Poker is to win the pot by having the best five-card poker hand using exactly two of your four hole cards and three of the five community cards, while strategically revealing one of your hole cards during the game.

Game Setup

  1. Each player is dealt four hole cards face down.
  2. Five community cards are dealt face up in the center of the table in three stages: the flop (three cards), the turn (one card), and the river (one card).
  3. Blinds are posted: the small blind by the player to the left of the dealer, and the big blind by the next player to the left.

Betting Rounds and Reveals

Pre-Flop

After receiving their hole cards, players have the option to call, raise, or fold. Betting starts with the player to the left of the big blind. After the betting round, each player must reveal one of their hole cards.

The Flop

Three community cards are dealt face up. A round of betting follows, starting with the player to the left of the dealer.

The Turn

A fourth community card is dealt face up. Another round of betting follows, and after this round, each player must reveal a second hole card.

The River

The fifth and final community card is dealt face up. A final round of betting occurs, starting with the player to the left of the dealer.

The Showdown

After the final betting round, remaining players reveal their remaining two hole cards. The player with the best five-card hand, using exactly two of their hole cards and three of the community cards, wins the pot.
