Rules of Omaha Badugi Split Poker

The game is typically played with 2-8 players and uses a standard 52-card deck.

Dealing

Each player is dealt 5 hole cards, similar to 5 card Omaha. The game proceeds with a round of betting.

Omaha Play

After the initial betting round, a three-card flop is dealt, followed by another round of betting. The turn and river are dealt with betting rounds in between. Players must use exactly two of their hole cards and three of the community cards to form their best five-card Omaha hand.

Badugi Play

Simultaneously, players aim to create the best Badugi hand using the best 4 their 5 hole cards. A Badugi hand consists of four cards of different suits and ranks. The goal is to have the lowest possible hand, with Aces being low.

Splitting the Pot

At the showdown, the pot is split between the player with the best Omaha hand and the player with the best Badugi hand. If a player wins both the Omaha and Badugi portions, they take the entire pot.
