How to Play:
Double-Board Omaha

Description:

Double Board Omaha Poker is a variant of Omaha poker where players use two separate boards (sets of community cards) to make their hands. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Note: Can also be played as overall BEST/BEST meaning the best hand from both boards (1 winner) AND/OR also a high/low split game.

Setup

  1. Double Board Omaha is typically played with 4-8 players.
  2. Each player is dealt four private cards (hole cards) face down.
  3. Two separate boards of community cards are dealt, usually referred to as Board A and Board B.
  4. Boards A and B consist of five community cards each, dealt face up in the center of the table.

Gameplay

  1. Players must use exactly two of their hole cards in combination with exactly three cards from Board A and/or Board B to form their best possible five-card hand for each board.
  2. Each player forms two separate hands: one for Board A and one for Board B.
  3. Players can use different combinations of their hole cards with the community cards from each board.

Winning

  1. At showdown, players reveal their hands for both Board A and Board B.
  2. The pot is split between the best hand on Board A and the best hand on Board B.
  3. If a player has the best hand on both boards, they win the entire pot.

Double Board Omaha Poker adds complexity and strategic depth compared to regular Omaha, as players must manage their hole cards effectively across two separate sets of community cards.
