4 Card Crazy Ocean Pineapple Poker is a fun and exciting variant of poker where players aim to make the best possible five-card hand using a combination of their four hole cards and five community cards. The twist in this game is the discard rounds which add a layer of strategy.
The game is typically played with a fixed-limit or no-limit betting structure. Each player is dealt four hole cards face down. There are three rounds of community cards dealt face-up, with discard rounds occurring after the first two rounds of community cards.
There are four betting rounds: one after the initial deal, one after the first discard and the flop (three community cards), one after the second discard and the turn (fourth community card), and one after the river (fifth community card). The betting starts with the player to the left of the dealer and proceeds clockwise.
After the initial deal and the first round of betting, players must discard one of their four hole cards before the flop is dealt. After the flop and the second round of betting, players must discard another hole card before the turn is dealt. This leaves each player with two hole cards by the time the river is dealt.
After the final round of betting following the river, the remaining players reveal their hands. The player with the best five-card hand, made from their two remaining hole cards and the five community cards, wins the pot. Standard poker hand rankings are used to determine the winner. Can optionally be played as a Hi/Low variant.
